Imaging Creates Dreams

Photo & Imaging Shanghai 2015, organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Shanghai Sub-Council, Chamber of International Commerce Shanghai, the Shanghai Photographers' Association and Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd. and co-organized by Shanghai International Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., was held at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center from July 2-5, 2015. An annual trade show that has been expanding for 17 years, Photo & Imaging Shanghai has become one of the most prestigious and influential photo and imaging events in China and the Asia-Pacific region.

Themed "Imaging Creates Dreams", the 18,000-square meter exhibition brings together 200 well-known industry players from both within and outside of China, including Canon, Sony, Fujifilm, Nikon, Epson, Hewlett-Packard, Toshiba, Datacolor, Lucky, Benro, Jishi, Jusino, Eirmai, Ztylus, Jinbei, Godox, U2, Great Wall and Creative. Spanning the entire industry chain from imaging input to output, the event integrates new product experiences, services for photography fans, product demonstrations, technical presentations and trade matching, providing an excellent platform for photography enthusiasts who seek to experience new combinations of simulated sets and the opportunity to try out new equipment.

At this year's event, Canon displayed its full EOS Single Lens Reflex Camera series and Canon-branded printing and output products; Sony exhibited a full range of mirrorless cameras and the latest A7RII cameras; Nikon presented new high-end Single Lens Reflex Cameras; Fujifilm illustrated the emerging trend of considering images as a lifestyle, and introduced a variety of photo products and services suited for the digital and smart mobile phone era; HP, coming back after a hiatus of several years, gave a presentation on the market development trend whereby Chinese and global traditional image printing will upgrade to digital models; Toshiba demonstrated its strength with a series of new wireless storage products, from memory cards to SSDs and HDDs, in addition to other next-generation products; DJI presented the best in aerial photography experiences, allowing visitors to feel the unlimited sense of freedom derived from cameras with wings; and China's homegrown brand PRECIL displayed the latest 3D printing portrait technologies.

In addition, the event featured several themed events and technical seminars, including an Exhibition of the Best Works selected from the Nikon Cup National Children's Photo Contest, the 8th China Portrait Photography Awards Ceremony & Photo Exhibition, HP Indigo Imaging Industry Digital Printing Innovation Summit, Nikon Photography Technology Presentations, Sony Cup Wedding Video Contest, Canon-New SLR Life Begins with EOS, and The Only Fuji, in a move to promote brand value and encourage discussion around the three developing trends in the imaging industry: exhibitions, events and conferences.
